Zr-Ti-V-Ni alloys with dendrite-free structure were investigated by ph
otomicrographs, scanning electron microscopy, electron spectroscopy fo
r chemical analysis, electron probe microanalysis and ICPS in order to
develop new cathodic hydrogen storage alloys. It has been found that
the activation and kinetics of AB(2) alloys with dendrite-free structu
re are improved significantly. The relationship between electrochemica
l characteristics and dendrite-free structure is discussed.
