Abstract
The CO2 absorption method is attractive as a simple and fast sample pr eparation technique for low-level carbon-14 measurement. With a better understanding of the absorption process. the reproducibility of the m ethod has been established. Using a good low-level liquid scintillatio n counter it is now possible to use the method for radiocarbon dating up to 37,000 y BP. a range adequate for many users.
