Ck. Park et al., SEPARATION OF BENZENE CYCLOHEXANE BY PERVAPORATION THROUGH POLY(VINYLALCOHOL) POLY(ALLYL AMINE) BLEND MEMBRANE, Polymer bulletin, 33(5), 1994, pp. 591-598
Chelate poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(allyl amine) blend membrane was prepa
red and used for the separation of benzene/cyclohexane mixture by perv
aporation processes. The coordination of benzene in the feed with coba
lt in the membrane plays a major role in the separation of the mixture
. Chelate poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(allyl amine) blend membrane showed
a preferential sorption toward benzene and was found to be more effect
ive for permeating benzene in the benzene/cyclohexane mixture than an
original Schiff base poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(allyl amine) membrane.
