SOLUTION OF THE PHASE PROBLEM IN ASTRONOMICAL SPECKLE INTERFEROMETRY USING THE HARTLEY TRANSFORM

An iterative algorithm based on the use of the Hartley transform is pr oposed for image restoration from a given autocorrelation function. In contrast to previous techniques, this algorithm enables one to reduce by half the requires capacity of random-access memory, decrease the n umber of arithmetic operations used, and take into account a priory in formation on the representation of a reconstructed image by a real fun ction of coordinates.
