A. Brezini et al., LOCALIZATION PROPERTIES OF 1D DISORDERED-SYSTEMS IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ELECTRIC-FIELD, Physica status solidi. b, Basic research, 185(2), 1994, pp. 359-366
A Kronig-Penney model with a constant electric field is used to examin
e the transmission properties of electrons in one-dimensional disorder
ed systems. Disorder is introduced into the system by assuming that th
e strengths of the delta-function potential are random variables unifo
rmly distributed. In particular the cases where the strength varies fr
om O to W (barriers) and from - W to O (wells) are considered. Extensi
ve results are presented and compared to other theories.
