Abstract
We discuss a special type of polarization asymmetry (''handedness'') i n the process e+e- --> 4pi, when one of the initial particles is longi tudinally polarized. The asymmetry is proportional to the degree of po larization and to the width to mass ratio of the rho-meson. It can rea ch 4-5% in some kinematical region. Both the channels 2pi+2pi- and 2pi 0pi+pi- are considered in the framework of the effective chiral lagran gian with vector mesons, in the energy range approximately 1 GeV. The corresponding total cross sections are also calculated.
