Ch. Sun et al., A RELIABLE NUMERICAL-METHOD FOR SIMULATING THE POSTFAILURE BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE FRAME STRUCTURES, Computers & structures, 53(3), 1994, pp. 579-589
A reliable layered finite element model combined with the arc-length m
ethod is developed for the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete f
ramed structures. Accounting for both material and geometrical nonline
arities, the algorithms can analyse concrete frames up to and beyond t
he limit points. Comparison with experimental results demonstrates tha
t reliable full-range behaviour can be traced. The package is shown to
be an efficient tool for simulating the nonlinear behaviour of reinfo
rced concrete framed structures.
