Two patients developed acute severe rotavirus-associated diarrhoea fol
lowing BMT. Both received treatment with oral immunoglobulin and in ea
ch case the diarrhoea substantially resolved within 3 days, and rotavi
rus became undetectable in their stool. Oral immunoglobulin may be a u
seful therapy for rotavirus gastroenteritis post-BMT.
