We consider the equations of general relativity in free space in the l
inear approximation. Non-stationary moving solutions for these equatio
ns, which are localized and have finite energy, are explicitly constru
cted. The energy of the localized wave is shown to be proportional to
its internal frequency and can represent a massive quantum particle 'm
ade' of gravitational energy.
