QUASI-CONICAL ENERGY ANALYZERS FOR ELECTRON-SPECTROSCOPY

Conditions for second-order focusing in conical systems are studied nu merically. For systems with coincident vertices the second order focus ing angle as a function of the relative electron energies was consider ed. The corresponding dependences are presented at various values of t he inner cone half-angle. Second order focusing angle as a function of a point axial source position and of a half-angle of the cones is pre sented for systems with parallel generatrices. The possibility of atta ining second order focusing in the finite dimensional conical systems is discussed. The electron-optical schemes are given for such devices.
