Abstract
A series of 1-aryl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-beta-carbolines were synthesized , as ''truncated'' analogs of the novel agent, azatoxin, and assayed i n vitro for their ability to induce protein-associated DNA strand brea ks in the presence of DNA and human DNA topoisomerase II.
