So. Suvorova et Ga. Filippov, EFFECT OF NITROGEN ON THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF AUSTENITIC CR-NI-MN STEELS TO DELAYED FRACTURE UNDER THE ACTION OF STRESSES AND HYDROGEN, Metal science and heat treatment, 38(3-4), 1996, pp. 123-124
The creation of austenitic steels with a supraequilibrium nitrogen con
centration increases their strength substantially. However, their plas
ticity and fracture toughness can be decreased. In particular, such st
eels can be susceptible to delayed fracture characteristic for high-st
rength steels with a martensite or bainite structure. It is of interes
t to investigate the susceptibility of austenitic Cr - Ni - Mn steels
with different concentrations of nitrogen to delayed fracture under th
e action of stresses. corrosive media, and hydrogen.
