Abstract
We present results of perturbative calculations on the two-photon ioni zation of beryllium above the second ionization threshold: Be+(2p), As in earlier work, we use a discretized approach (utilizing B-spline fu nctions) for the representation of the atomic spectrum. Besides two-ph oton ionization, the case of above threshold ionization, where one pho ton is already sufficient to ionize Be, is presented.
