A flow-type cell for simultaneous determination of fluorine, chlorine,
nitrate, and ammonium ions has been developed. The dynamic parameters
of ion-selective modules of the cell have been studied and the condit
ions of in-flow potentiometric measurements have been optimized. In an
alysis of synthetic solutions of composition chemically close to drink
ing water, the standard error was less than 0.02 in the determination
of nitrates, fluorides, and chlorides, and 0.04 in the determination o
f ammonium.
