Abstract
In developing the Losev - Smagunova theory, an equation for calculatin g the intensity of x-ray fluorescence of an element of a heterogeneous powder sample is suggested. The equation gives information both on th e elemental content and density of a real (i.e., with porosity) sample . An experimental verification of a semiempirical variant of the equat ion shows the efficiency of the approach suggested.
