Abstract
The effect of organic matter content on the consistency of soils diffe rent in texture was investigated. The shifts of the values of the cons istency limits towards higher moisture contents are explained by diffe rent organic matter contents. The consistency limits of plasticity and liquidity were significantly dependent on the content of organic matt er.
