J. Czakanski et al., THE EXTENDED OPTICAL-MODEL WITH DISPERSION-RELATION FOR THE FUSION OFLIGHT HEAVY-ION SYSTEMS, Nuclear physics. A, 580(1), 1994, pp. 100-112
Fusion excitation functions were calculated for light heavy-ion system
s in the whole measured energy range. The calculations were performed
by using the extended optical model for fusion which was applied with
success for above-Coulomb-barrier energies. This model is based on the
separate absorptive potential for fusion. The modification of the ext
ended optical-model potential in the sub-barrier region occurs in its
real and imaginary energy-dependent parts through the dispersion relat
ion. The effect of the critical angular-momentum cut-off has been obta
ined by the decrease of W(fus)(E) at the high-energy region. A very go
od description of the experimental fusion cross sections were obtained
for the following systems: C-12 + C-12, C-12 + N-14, C-12 + O-16, and
O-16 + O-16. A detailed discussion of the parameters of the model is
presented.
