Abstract
Microneurographic recordings reveal a marked differentiation between s ympathetic traffic to different effecters (skin and muscle blood vesse ls, sweat glands) both with regard to firing pattern and responses to maneuvers. Consequently, data from one sympathetic nerve/effector and physiological/pathological condition cannot be generalized.
