Functionalized polypropenes have been synthesized to be used as coupli
ng agents at the glass fiber/polypropene interface. The cocrystallizat
ion of this coupling agent and the matrix is studied by DSC and WAXS a
nd in an other hand by a Monte Carlo simulation. The required characte
ristics of the functionalized polypropene cocrystalliize with the PP m
atrix are discussed. In a second part, the ability of the selected pol
ymers to be grafted on a glass substrate is studied. The influence of
the introduction of such coupling agents at the interface is studied i
n microcomposites.
