The aim of this work is to develop a standardized test to investigate
the effects of load transmission on the local behaviour of adhesive jo
ints by means of parametric studies. In laboratory, the dynamic respon
se of an adhesive is objective if the experimental set-up re-creates t
he load conditions met by the joint within the real structure. The new
experimental device is designed to assess the mechanical behaviour, o
f a steel/glass assembly close to the one of a bonded windscreen.
