Abstract
The thermal degradation of adsorption layers of polyacrylonitrile (PAN ) on the surface of glasses with different chemical composition was in vestigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), C-13 mag ic angle spinning solid state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy with crosspolarization (CP-MAS NMR), and thermal gravimetry (TGA). A s trong dependence of the product yield and reaction mechanism on the pr esence and chemical composition of a glass surface is apparent from th e experimental data.
