A. Marinetti et al., NEW CHIRAL DICHLOROPHOSPHINES AND THEIR USE IN THE SYNTHESIS OF PHOSPHETANE OXIDES AND PHOSPHINIC CHLORIDES, Journal of organic chemistry, 62(2), 1997, pp. 297-301
Myrtanyl-, bornyl- and isopinocampheyldichlorophosphines have been pre
pared from the corresponding alkyl chlorides via diastereospecific rea
ctions of the Grignard reagents with PCl3 or (Et(2)N)(2)PCl. Two appli
cations of these compounds to synthetic asymmetric organophosphorus ch
emistry have been examined: their reactions with 2,3,3-trimethylbutene
and AlCl3 afford either P-chiral phosphetane oxides or, in the presen
ce of gaseous HCl, P-chiral phosphinic chlorides with moderate to high
diastereoselectivity.
