Abstract
The nomenclatural history of Carex fuliginosa Schkr. and its subsp. Ca rex misandra R. Br. is recalled. Carex fuliginosa is found in some pla ces in the central parts of the Alps and Carpathian mountains. Its loc alisation in France is discussed. Carex misandra has a strict periarct ic distribution. Morphological features of C. fuliginosa are described and compared to closely related species.
