Abstract
We study the limiting behavior (the macroscopic limit) of an appropria tely scaled spin system with Glauber-Kawasaki dynamics. We rigorously establish the existence in the limit of an interface evolving accordin g to motion by mean curvature. This limit is valid for all positive ti mes, past possible geometric singularities of the motion, which is int erpreted in the viscosity sense.
