Abstract
Microprocessor based distance relays are beginning to find wide accept ance among utilities. This paper presents some novel concepts which ca n be implemented in digital distance relays for two terminal transmiss ion lines, Simulation results are presented to show that digital dista nce relays can dynamically compensate for various errors and provide a ccurate relaying decisions, thus enhancing the security of the power s ystem.
