The decomposition kinetics of supersaturated FCC Al1-xSix solid soluti
ons has been studied in the wide concentration range x less-than-or-eq
ual-to 0.1 by the resistivity relaxation method and the differential s
canning microcalorimetry technique. It was established by an original
'set of steps' isothermal annealing procedure that the spinodal bounda
ry probably occurs at x congruent-to 0.08 in these substances and the
last stages of the decomposition process correspond to coagulation wit
h DELTArho approximately t-1/5 behaviour at intermediate temperatures.
