Abstract
I show that the squeezing and the brightness of the squeezed light of a many cascade two-photon CEL will have a substantial increase if the upper and the middle levels of the active atom become q- and (k + 1)-f old almost degenerate, respectively, besides the lower levels. The pum p statistics only affects the photon-number noise of a resonant many c ascade two-photon CEL operated in the linear region.
