Abstract
A case is presented of a transitional lumbosacral vertebra in an adole scent girl, presenting with low back pain. There was no evidence of a pars interarticularis defect. Careful assessment of children or adoles cents presenting with low back pain is important since back pain in th is age group is usually caused by organic disease.
