Abstract
Many drugs already in use for the treatment of skin disease, including steroids, retinoids, vitamin D derivatives and cyclosporin (CyA), exe rt effects on gene transcription. In this review we briefly outline ho w these drugs work, before proceeding to a consideration of how new dr ugs acting on the transcription process might be used to influence ski n disease.
