Ag. Morachevskii et al., ELECTROLYSIS OF ALKALINE AQUEOUS-GLYCEROL SOLUTIONS OF LEAD(II) OXIDEAND SULFATE, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(12), 1993, pp. 2042-2046
The electrolyte composition and conditions of lead recovery by electro
lysis of alkaline aqueous-glycerol solutions have been. optimized. Wit
h stirring of the electrolyte the initial current density canreach 600
A.m(-2), with the current efficiency being no less than 90%. In the c
ase of recovering lead from the filling paste of spent lead batteries
with the aid of this electrolytic process, preliminary desulfation of
the raw material is advisable.
