This report describes a patient with a DSM-III-R diagnosis of obsessiv
e compulsive disorder and a nuclear magnetic resonance picture of a no
rmal pressure hydrocephalus. After neurosurgery, the patient showed ma
rked improvement in his compulsions which previously had shown little
reponse to pharmacological treatment.
