Abstract
In an attempt to elucidate the relation between structure and electrop horetic behavior, the effect of pH, surfactant and buffer on electroph oretic mobilities and resolution of several flavonoids, differing in s tructure, has been investigated. Ring-B substitution and the presence of a free hydroxy group at C-7 of ring A play an important role, where as O-methoxylation is less significant. Glycosylation also contributes in determining different degrees of complexation with berate, thus af fecting the mobilities.
