More than 170 clones of Fragaria xananassa Duch., F. chiloensis (L.) D
uch., and F. virginiana Duch. were tested for resistance to the twospo
tted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch). Twenty-seven clones had >
75 % fewer mites than did F. xanannssa 'Totem', a susceptible clone, A
bout two-thirds of the clones also were tested for resistance to the s
trawberry aphid [Chaetosiphon fragaefolii (Cockerell)]. Survival and r
eproduction was significantly lower on two clones each off. xananassa
and F. virginiana than on 'Totem',
