The generalised master equation approach is employed in conjunction wi
th the spin-1/2 Ising Hamiltonian to formulate different types of diff
usion migration equations. The methodology involving Kawasaki dynamics
for the transition probabilities is demonstrated for electron hopping
between nearest-neighbour redox centres in chemically modified electr
odes and the classical Nernst-Planck equation.
