M. Blazek, HIGH-ENERGY DENSITY-FLUCTUATIONS IN TERMS OF FACTORIAL MOMENTS AND ASSOCIATED FREQUENCY MOMENTS, International journal of modern physics A, 12(5), 1997, pp. 839-857
We propose to verify relations between quantities which characterize s
caling properties of high energy density fluctuations in terms of fact
orial moments and newly introduced associated frequency moments. Typic
al examples are presented in frame of systematics developed in the pre
sent paper. It involves also several sorts of moments applied so far i
n the search for intermittency and multifractality. Our approach takes
the advantage of relations in which a linear combination of associate
d frequency moments reduces statistical fluctuations to the same exten
t as it is done by corresponding factorial moments.
