Abstract
From the seeds of Semecarpus anacardium, a new phenolic glucoside, ana cardoside, was isolated, and its structure and configuration were eluc idated by a combination of NMR techniques as 1-0-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1 --> beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-3-hydroxy-5-metylbenzene.
