Abstract
Within the framework of a revisit to the linear Standard Enskog Theory , the kinetic theory for a binary mixture of rigid spheres is proved t o be consistent with linear irreversible thermodynamics in terms of th e thermodynamic forces and fluxes derived from the kinetic definition of the entropy production. A straightforward calculation of the Onsage r coefficients is presented.
