Abstract
The structure of a new sesquiterpene alcohol from the liverwort Lepido zia reptans has been established as 1(10)-spirovetiven-7 beta-ol by me ans of spectroscopic methods and chemical conversion. The configuratio n of the sesquiterpene was proved by enantioselective gas chromatograp hy. The sesquiterpene alcohol was previously described as a constituen t of Lepidozia reptans without further investigation of the structure. Copyright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd
