The failure cases of the other therapists are seen through the lens of
the present author, who emphasizes the active nature of the clients t
hemselves. The need for us to note that our techniques do not ''operat
e on'' clients in any mechanistic manner is noted, and the independenc
e and resilience of clients is emphasized. The possibility that what l
ooks like failure from the therapist's perspective may not necessarily
be failure from the client's perspective is also mentioned.
