Vi. Popa et C. Beleca, ON THE ROLE PLAYED BY SOME NATURAL-PRODUCTS, WITH AROMATIC STRUCTURE,IN PROCESSES OF PLANT-GROWING, Cellulose Chemistry and Technology, 28(6), 1994, pp. 613-620
Polyphenolic products extracted from beach oak and spruce bark wood, e
ither unmodified or modified through oxidation, have been employed in
experiments of bean and millet seed germination. The observation was m
ade that the favourable action manifested by the isolated products dep
ends on their nature, as well as on the modification had in view. Also
, for each of the compounds tested, a maximum activity is recorded wit
hin. a certain domain of concentration, evidencing a similar action to
that of the plant growth hormones.
