Abstract
Induction of cytochrome P4501A1 (CYP1A1) by certain xenobiotics is med iated by the Ah receptor/Arnt complex. The present knowledge about the molecular process of induction is summarized with special attention t o our recent work on characterization of the polymorphic forms of the Ah receptor.
