Abstract
The kinetics of the cathodic reduction of chlorinated hydrocarbons is investigated by use of a rotating disk electrode. Resulting from the m easured current-potential relation, correlations for calculation of th e electic current density as a function of the concentration of the or ganic component and the cathodic potential in several electrolytic sol utions and for some cathodic materials are found out for the reduction of tetrachloroethene and 1,1,1-trichloromethane.
