STABILIZATION OF UNSTABLE STEADY-STATES OF ADIABATIC TUBULAR REACTORSWITH RECYCLE

The use of recycle in chemical reactors leads to the appearance of the so-called multiple steady states. An important characteristic of thes e states results from the fact that not all of them are stable. The pr incipal objective of the present work is to devise and analyse a syste m for automatic control of a reactor with recycle that would guarantee stability of potentially unstable steady states of the process.
