Abstract
In this study we have employed surface plasmon resonance to examine th e kinetic binding constants of a new class of soluble cytokine recepto r complexes. The solution assembly of both homomeric and heteromeric i nterleukin-2 receptor ectodomain complexes has been achieved using coi led-coil molecular recognition. These complexes were immobilized on a biosensor surface acid the kinetic binding constants were determined. The values obtained for these parameters compared favorably with those reported in studies of comparable cell surface complexes. The combina tion of these methods provides a powerful approach to the ligand inter actions of cytokine receptors.
