ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL STUDIES AFTER ORTHOT OPIC CARDIAC TRANSPLANTATION

Cardiac electrophysiological tests were performed in 14 patients after orthotopic cardiac transplantation. Pronounced differences were found in electrophysiological parameters of sinus node function between pat ients with transplanted hearts, patients with residual recipient atria and healthy persons. This was considered evidence for substantial Inf luence of autonomic nervous system,on sinus node of human heart. Effec ts of autonomic nervous system on electrophysiological characteristics of atrioventricular junction were less pronounced.
