Abstract
Oscillations in the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky reac tion were followed by monitoring the absorbance, photo-and chemilumine scence intensity, lifetime of the luminescent excited state, and bromi de concentration. The formation of a species (most probably Br-2) whic h quenches the Ru(bpy)(3)(2)+ luminescence is followed.
