Abstract
Various fluorinated dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-ones (3) are conve niently oxidised to respective pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-(3H)-ones (4) in quantitative yields by using active MnO2. This method has been gene ralised by applying to other related heterocyclic compounds:
