It has been proposed to calibrate some single neutron dosimetric detec
tors in several reference fields with neutron spectra whose linear com
bination with some weighting coefficients approximates the spectrum in
the real measurement place. The corresponding linear combination of t
he readings for the detectors in these reference fields with the same
weighting coefficients is used as the detector reading in a single ref
erence field. The efficiency of this calibration method with eight rea
l reference fields has been investigated with the help of computer sim
ulation. It has been shown that this method allows one to calibrate do
simetric detectors more correctly than commonly used techniques.
