It is shown by means of IR spectroscopy that a complex compound of the
donor-acceptor type is formed during SO2 adsorption on polysiloxane l
ayers modified wih alkylamines. The frequency shifts are observed for
the normal vibrations of the perturbed SO2 molecule in the complex. Th
e reaction of complex formation is reversible at room temperature.
