Abstract
In this paper the development of an implicit code is illustrated. The sheet elements as well as the contact description need some special at tention. Further, a connection with commercially available CAD package s is essential for a user-friendly range of application. Examples of a simulation of an automotive product and a multi-step deep-drawing pro cess are given. To widen the scope, a start is made with explicit meth ods with emphasis on contact formulation.
